There are some important events that happened in the month of January which make this month significant for the whole world. Had these events not occurred, the technology scene would have been totally different.
January 1697 – Sir Isaac Newton receives Jean Bernoulli’s six month time-limit problem, solves problem before going to bed that same night.
January 1714 – Typewriter was patented by Englishman Henry Mill but was built later.
January 1838 – First telegraph message sent using dots and dashes (USA, NJ)
January 1880 – Thomas Edison patents electric incandescent lamp.
January 1889 – First computer was patented.
January 1896 – First X-ray photo was developed in USA (Dr. Henry Smith, Davidson, NC).
January 1915 – Neon Tube sign patented by George Claude
January 1926 – Television first demonstrated by J.L. Baird in London.
January 1928 – Scotch tape first marketed by 3M company.
January 1946 – First computer ENIAC, finished by Mauchly/Eckert, USA.
January 1948 – First tape recorder sold.
January 1953 – 1st U.S. telecast transmitted to Canada-from Buffalo NY .
January 1969 – Nuclear Test conducted in the Pacific Ocean.
January 1972 – NASA announces development of space shuttle.
January 1976 – First commercial flight of Supersonic Concorde, by Britain and France.
January 1977 – Apple Computers is incorporated.
January 1984 – The first Apple Macintosh goes for sale.
January 1985 – Internet Domain Name System created.
January 1989 – “Friday the 13th” virus strikes hundreds of IBM computers in Britain .
January 1992 – AT&T releases first video telephone for $1,499.
January 1998 – Anatoly Solovyov and Pavel Vinogradov space walk record 3 hours 8 minutes.
January 2000 – AOL announces an agreement to buy Time Warner for $162 billion, being the largest corporate merger in history.
January 2000 – After years of Y2K rumors, only a few computer-related problems were reported (a problem with Hotmail, with a nuclear power plant in Japan and with apartment heating in Korea).
January 2006 – Stardust space mission returns dust from a comet to earth.
January 2007 – Apple Computer unveils the revolutionary iPhone.

Development of new technologies it strategically an important point of development of any state, but is even more important introduction of these technologies so for example in Soviet Union scientific magazines with the name the Science and technics, then on the basis were bought up after a while
