20 High Quality Free Fonts

Every time when you are working on a client project, there is this daunting task of finding fresh high-quality fonts from the Internet (free to use). There is a lot of choice available that makes people confused and ends in a lot of wasted time. I have searched for some good ones and listed them here so that you don’t have to do the tiring work.

Color Lines

Color Lines is a decorative font, that can be used in a variety of cases, including label and cool print design.

Melbourne

Melbourne is a Sans Serif rounded font that’s bound to give your text the professional touch you always wanted.

Roke1984

Roke1984 is a display font based on geometric forms and mathematics symbols. This font includes accents and numerals.

FR Hopper

FR Hopper is a sans based on geometric forms still having a friendly personality. It is intended for mid-length texts, captions, titles and almost any other occasional use – posters, flyer printing and even for web sites.

Jean-Luc

This is a font dedicated as a gift to director Jean Luc, a French-Swiss film director. Jean-Luc is a clear, bold sans serif font.

Fanwood

Based on work of a famous Czech-American type designer of yesteryear. The package includes roman and italic types.

Tondu

A versatile display font that combines classic proportions with modern styling. The precise letter fit makes it perfect for use across signage, book jackets, packaging, posters and t-shirts. Details include an extended European character set, manually edited kerning and Euro symbol.

Legion Slab

Legion Slab is a condensed slab serif font designed by Phil Pham.

Bevan

Bevan is a reworking of a traditional slab serif display typeface created by Heinrich Jost in the 1930s. In Bevan, Jost’s earlier letter forms have been digitised and then reshaped for use as a webfont, the counters have been opened up a little and the stems optimised for use as bold display font in modern web browsers.

Ostrich Sans

Ostrich Sans is a gorgeous modern sans-serif typeface with a very long neck and comes with a whole slew of styles & weights.

Dock11

Dock11 is a stylishly bold font that can make your text pop out when used correctly.

Amaranth

This is again a Sans Serif font (otf format) meant for stylized typography.

Novecento

Novecento font face is designed to be used mostly for headlines, visual identities or short sentences, both in big and small sizes. Lighter faces provide a more contemporary and design look & feel, while the bolder ones definitely look retro.

Bree Serif

This friendly upright italic is the serif cousin of TypeTogether’s award winning font Bree. Designed by Veronika Burian and José Scaglione, Bree was originally released in 2008 and it became an immediate success because of its originality, charming appearance and versatility.

RBNo2

It is inspired by late 19th century industrial fonts with german roots regarding straightness and geometry. Combined with other sans serifs, slab serifs and serif fonts it catches the eye when used in headlines and short copy texts.

Jura

Jura is a elegant serif typeface of narrow proportions with distinguishing details. The rounded, wedge shaped serifs offer a more contemporary feels than many serif fonts, while maintaining legibility even at small sizes.

Carton

A strong yet sensitive slab-serif inspired by letterpress.

Hero

Hero free font is applicable for any type of graphic design – web, print, motion graphics etc and perfect for t-shirts and other items like posters, logos.

Movavi

I liked a few of the fonts but Legion Slab is my favorite. Thanks for sharing and letting us download for free. You are right a lot of time is wasted searching for fresh and new fonts. Not to mention often money.

Cool list, especially jura… but most of these font doesn’t provide a clear license in using the font whether it can be use for commercial or webfont

Did I miss the link(s)? I have looked and I cannot find a link to either the font(s) or another website from which they might be downloaded.
If the purpose of this article was to make your users want some of the fonts, it did so. If the purpose was to provide a resource where they could be found, it failed.

I kept trying and SOME (but not all) pictures opened to the download site. With the previous post, I had only clicked on a couple of the pictures.
